Lindsay’s musical journey started at the tender age of 12, when she began recording with renowned composer/musician, Rod Argent (of the Zombies). Lindsay’s astounding natural ability was swiftly recognised by manager Alan Wood, who put her forward for Eurovision. Lindsay won the public vote and represented the UK in 2001 with the rousing anthem, ‘No Dream Impossible’, when she was just 16. Her performance stayed in the hearts of tens of thousands of people, leading to regular invitations to sing at high profile events, including Eurostarz (London, August 2018) and Europride, Stockholm, 2018).
Lindsay has worked continually as a vocalist, touring with Paul Carrack and singing with The Garnett Family, (Britain’s Got Talent, semi-finalists, 2016). In addition to performing, Lindsay worked as a vocal coach to some of the finest voices in her hometown of Sheffield, where she has established herself as a respected solo artist, guaranteed to sell out any venue she plays. Some will also recognise Lindsay as one of the 100 judges, alongside Spice Girl Gerry Horner, on the hit BBC show, 'All Together Now’ (series 1; aired January 2018).
As Lindsay enters the next phase of her career, creating and performing original music is her focus, which led her to join forces with renowned Sheffield songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Julian Jones. The result of this 2 year collaboration is Lindsay’s long-anticipated, appropriately titled debut album, 'Waiting For You': a classic blend of soul and jazz. The album is performed by a host of outstanding musicians, playing instruments as they are meant to sound, seamlessly supporting Lindsay’s smooth vocals. The authenticity of the songs, together with quality production by Aidan Thompson (Alvarez Kings), make ‘Waiting For You’ an album leaving a lasting impression on the listener.
Lindsay’s first single, ‘Not Mine’, released 20th November, 2018, has been very well-received and soared in to the i-tunes R&B/Soul charts at Number 6. The launch was heralded by a successful launch event, attended by well-respected musical peers and long-time supporters of Lindsay’s music. The single is accompanied by an official video and an acoustic, live recording, presenting two contrasting takes on the soulful ballad.
Lindsay already has a loyal fanbase, eager to hear her album of original material, but has recently generated wider interest, due to positive comments on social media, word of mouth and the undeniable quality of her live performances. The official launch date of Lindsay’s album, ‘Waiting For You’, is 9th February, 2019. With a launch party being held at Toolmakers Brewery in Sheffield on the same day.
